Updated: 30 October 2026
MotionVid, a browser tool that turns prompts into motion graphics and short AI videos, shipped a new default model, a one-click Animate button and 48 new templates between 3 and 5 October 2026. Here is what changed, what it costs, and how to use Animate for a vertical Reel.
What changed in early October
- Miltos 6 Fast is the new default (3 October). MotionVid says it is faster and uses fewer credits than Miltos 6, with narration, music, sound effects and AI footage still included. New videos on monthly and yearly plans start on it. Old projects keep their model, and Miltos 6 is still in the model menu.
- Animate on every image (3 October, paid plans). Every image you make in MotionVid now has an Animate button. It opens the video maker with the image as the first frame, and the video keeps the image’s shape, so a vertical picture gives a vertical video.
- 48 new motion graphics templates (5 October). Examples include Now Playing Music Card, Heart Like Burst, Vlog Day Counter and Glitch Text, in wide and vertical formats.
- Templates now land where you are (5 October). A new template goes right after your current scene, not at the end, and captions stay with their own scenes.
Who can use it, and what it costs
MotionVid’s pricing page lists four paid plans in US dollars: Starter at $19 a month (500 credits), Pro at $29 (800 credits), Ultimate at $49 (1,500 credits) and Creator at $249 (8,000 credits). We did not find rupee pricing, so expect a dollar charge plus any bank fees.
The credit difference is the real news. The same page puts a 15-second video at about 27 credits on Miltos 6 Fast against about 51 on Miltos 6, so Starter covers roughly 18 Fast videos a month instead of 9. MotionVid also says launch pricing takes 30% off Miltos 6 Fast’s AI tokens. That discount is on tokens, not on your subscription.
Before and after: what a photo-to-motion edit looks like
Both images are our own AI-generated illustrations of a fictional model, showing the idea of a still turned into a moving Reel frame. They are not output from MotionVid.

Copy the motion prompt
Paste this after you press Animate, or in any image-to-video tool. Change the scene words to match your own photo, and keep the motion small.
How to animate an image in MotionVid
- Sign in at motionvid.ai on a paid plan. On the home screen, the model chip near Create New Video should now read Miltos 6 Fast.
- Open Image from the top menu and make your picture. Pick 9:16 in the aspect ratio menu if you want a Reel, because Animate copies the image’s shape.
- On the finished image, or in its full-size view, tap Animate. The video maker opens with your image as the first frame.
- Paste the prompt above and pick a video model. Animora Standard is the default (11 credits per 4 seconds). Check the estimate before you generate.
- For a graphic, open Templates, pick one such as Heart Like Burst, and swap in your words and colours.
- For a motion graphics project, click Share / Export, choose format and quality, then Start Render. AI video clips download straight from their download button.
Using your own phone photo? Animate is described for images made in MotionVid, but a September changelog entry says you can attach any picture in the chat and ask for it to be animated. We have not tested that.
What we noticed while making the example
This is about our two example images only, not MotionVid. We made both in ChatGPT, using the first photo as the reference for the second. The face, bindi, kurta embroidery and tulsi plant held well, the crop moved closer and the hair lifted in a believable breeze. The light particles we asked for came out very faint, almost invisible on a phone screen, and the sunset made the whole frame warmer, skin included. In any photo-to-video tool, check skin tone and hands first.
Quick fixes
- Video came out wide when you wanted a Reel: Animate follows the image shape. Remake the image in 9:16 first, then animate.
- Credits going too fast: stay on Miltos 6 Fast for drafts and switch to Miltos 6 only for the final version. Write one detailed prompt, since every edit also uses credits.
- Only two seconds look wrong: since 21 October, MotionVid lets you drag across the timeline under the player, pick that moment and describe the change. Only those seconds are regenerated and charged.
Common questions
Will my old projects switch to Miltos 6 Fast?
No. MotionVid says existing projects keep the model they were made with. Only new videos start on Miltos 6 Fast.
Is Miltos 6 Fast better than Miltos 6?
MotionVid calls it faster and cheaper, and still calls Miltos 6 its “most capable” model. We have not compared them.
Is MotionVid free in India?
The pricing page lists only paid plans, from $19 a month. A free first video is offered when you connect MotionVid in ChatGPT, but only for free accounts with a verified email in “eligible countries”. MotionVid does not name those countries, so India’s eligibility is unconfirmed.
