How to remove the green

CapCut

  1. Add your video, then tap Overlay and Add overlay and pick the green clip.
  2. Select the clip and tap Remove BG, then Chroma key.
  3. Drag the colour picker onto the green. Raise Intensity until the green is gone (around 20 to 30 usually works).
  4. If the edges look green, raise Shadow a little.

VN

  1. Tap +, choose PIP and pick the green clip.
  2. Select the PIP clip and open Chroma Key.
  3. Pick the green colour and adjust the strength until only the button is left.

Premiere Pro

  1. Put the green clip on a track above your video.
  2. Drag the Ultra Key effect onto it.
  3. Click the eyedropper in Effect Controls and pick the green.

Tips

  • Use the 9:16 version for Reels and Shorts. The buttons are already placed away from the bottom caption area.
  • Download the silent version if you already have music and only want the animation.
  • Place the clip near the end of your video, after you have given viewers a reason to subscribe or follow.
  • Want a still button instead? Get the transparent PNG pack in Creator Kit.

Questions

Are these the official YouTube and Instagram buttons?

No. They are our own designs in similar colours, with no brand logos.

Can I use them in monetised videos?

Yes. Use them free in your own videos, Reels and Shorts. Please do not resell or re-upload the pack as your own download.

Why do I still see a green line around the button?

Raise the chroma key strength a little, or the edge or shadow setting. A small amount is enough; too much will eat into the button.
